Emmanulle + Louis are having thier first baby, and it’s due any day! I’m hoping for a Valentines baby…but we’ll see. Official due date is Feb. 11. They are without a doubt the cutest couple expecting and I can hardly wait to see the little bundle of joy. 
When you can’t decide which photo, a composite of images is a great way to show varies poses. I think this composite really shows the love between these two.

Dressing for family portraits is important. First you have to decide is the portrait going to be formal or casual. Then everyone should dress in the same style. Except if you want your only child to be the focus! This couple wanted their daughter to be the focus of the portrait. The colour red amongst the other neutral’s make’s you notice the sweet girl. I love how the formal antique sofa matches the little girl, and the parent’s are more casual. 
Such a wonderful family to photograph in the studio on a cold winter’s day. Beautiful natural light on this overcast day.

The current version of Pop Vegas was formed in 2014. The band covers pop, rap, and country music mixed in with a bit of classic rock. Pop Vegas shows are energetic and entertaining with a high degree of professionalism.

This one is gorgeous from top to bottom! It’s situated on a lake in Bridgewater forest.
Niakwa golf and country club is a beautiful setting for a intimate wedding. Just look at these manicured lawns! not a blade out of place. On a overcast day the lighting is just perfect.
The beautiful brick of the club house was nice for a few casual portraits of this happy couple.

There is still plenty of summer left for a family portrait in the backyard. When photographing in the city it’s sometimes hard to avoid the neighbours. But don’t worry I have a few tricks for that scenario! Keeping the neighbours out was not the case for this portrait. This backyard seemed to go on forever. It’s hard to believe it’s right in the middle of Winnipeg.
I brought stools for the session, however I loved the families adirondack chairs. It keeps the portrait personal, and they match the casual outfits the family chose to wear. This portrait will be hanging over the piano.
I had to try a couple of locations in this beautiful yard and this large tree was perfect for a casual portrait. The client chose this image for the Christmas Card… Yup you read that right. This is one organized lady!

I’ve lived in Winnipeg for most of my life, but have family all over Alberta. I’ve been traveling back and forth for as long as I can remember! I recently just came back from another trip as my dad just celebrated turning 86! I also started dating a wonderful man who live’s by Calgary. So I have another reason to head west.
This trip to Alberta was with my iPhone, as sometimes even photographers need a little break from all the bells and whistles. I wanted to share a few images that I posted on my Instagram account.
